The Denman Junior High basketball teams are the feeder program for the McComb High Tigers.

If the recent junior high season is any indication, there is a talented group of players headed to suit up for the varsity at MHS in the future.

The girls’ team at DJH coached by Martika Leopold finished with a 9-3 record in 2025. The Lady Tigers were the only team to beat Alexander Junior High, doing so at AJH in the first meeting between the schools.

The DJH boys’ team, coached by Rod’Travious Monley, finished with an 8-4 mark, and were also the only team in the league to beat Alexander Junior High this season, doing so in thrilling fashion to close out the season in late December.

Denman plays a schedule that consists of Southwest Mississippi based opponents such as AJH in Brookhaven, North Pike Junior High, Tylertown Junior High, South Pike Junior High, Franklin County Junior High and Rod Paige Junior High in Monticello
